Leah grew up in Venice, Florida and spent much of her adult life on Big Pine Key.
She worked as a hairdresser for 42 years. Four years ago she moved to McAlpin in North
Central Florida. There she became interested in the work of a pine needle basket weaver,
Clarice Galloway. Clarice taught Leah how to weave her beautiful pine needle baskets.
Leah has always had a love for the sea and is an accomplished diver, shell collector and
fisherperson. She enjoys decorating her baskets with shells she has found.
Leah is also a poet and has self-published 3 books of her poetry.
