Susan was born in Canada and during her childhood she lived in various regions of the
country. She began sculpting in clay as a child. She later learned to sculpt in wood
and then stone.
Susan lives in Old Homosassa, Florida and has retired from her job as a Medical Research Assistant.
Since retiring she finds she has more time to pursue her interest in sculpting.
Susan uses alabaster for her 3D carvings. For her relief carvings she uses either shale or slate tiles.
Susan's carvings are inspired by the simple carvings of Eskimos.
